Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be picked up and drive along the beautiful view of Mount Meru to volcanic landscapes and eventually across the rift valley to Tarangire National Park. Once in the park you will have an en-route game drive with picnic lunch. Tarangire National Park is the sixth largest national park after Ruaha, Serengeti, Mikumi, Katavi and Mkomazi. The name of the park originates from the river which crosses at the middle of the park; the river is the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons. The park lies a little distance to the south east of Lake Manyara and covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers. It is named after the Tarangire River that flows through the park. Dinner and overnight at Lodge in Tarangire.
Day 2

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area descend into the crater to experience the majestic beauty of caldera, with picnic lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater, at 2286 m above the sea level, is the largest unbroken caldera in the world. Surrounded by very steep walls rising 610 meters from the crater floor, this natural amphitheatre covers an area of about 260 sq m that’s 100 sq miles and is home to up to 25000 larger mammals, almost half of them zebra and wildebeest. Dinner and overnight at Lodge in Ngorongoro.
Day 3

Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti National Park is arguably the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world. “Serengeti” means “endless plains” in the Masai language and within its boundaries are more than three million large mammals. Dinner and overnight at Lodge in central Serengeti.
Day 4

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast embark on a full day game drive with lunch boxes. Serengeti National Park is renowned for its unique natural phenomenon extensively known as the Great Migration; a progressive trekking of wildebeest from the Serengeti into the Masai Mara and back in search of water, pastures and breeding grounds. Apart from the wild animals found in Serengeti, you will also see the park's abundance of wildlife manifested in the insect world with 100 species of dung beetle alone. Dinner and overnight at Lodge in central Serengeti.
Day 5

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast drive with packed lunch to Lake Manyara National Park. As you enter the gate you pass into the lush forest, home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. Further along, the forest opens up into woodlands, grasslands, swamps and beyond, the soda lake itself. The park is also noted for its numerous buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo and great variety of smaller animals. Game drive in the park, dinner and overnight at Lake Lodge in Manyara.
Day 6
After breakfast drive back to Arusha arriving in time approx. for lunch, after lunch you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. Upon arrival at the airport our services end.

Best known for
  • Dense ground water Forest and bushes filled with wild animals, birds and insects.
  • Great herds of elephants, antelopes and giraffes. 
  • Situated on the edge of the rift valley.
  • Famous for its tree climbing lions.
  • The Hot Springs along the Rift Valley.
  • Also a great place for bird watching. 


Size & location

  • Covers an area of 330 sq km of which 200 sq km is of water when the water levels are high.
  • It is 128 km from Arusha Town.
  • Located beneath the 600 meters high Manyara Escarpment making a great view from the top of the park.





Climate / When to go

  • Temperatures can be between 25 to 40 Degrees Celsius during the different seasons.
  • Dry season (July-October) for large mammals.
  • Wet season (November-June) for bird watching and  the waterfalls.





Activities

  • Game drive through the forest, bushes and around the lake area.
  • Only national park that allows night game driving.
  • Walking safari can be arranged outside of the park around the escarpment.

ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK


Best known for
  •  the rich tapestry of flora and fauna it supports
  • The park and Arusha town derive their name from the Wa-Arusha people who traditionally lived in this area.
  • Until 1967 this was known as Ngurdoto Crater National Park.
    It has three distinct zones that defines its beauty and variety
    The Momella Lakes :
    • shallow alkaline lakes fed by underground streams
    • has thousands of lesser and greater flamingos as well as migratory birds (between April and October).
    •  Each of the lakes has a different hue.
    The Ngurdoto Crater :
    •  aka “mini-Ngorongoro” has a diameter of 3km.
    • descending into a volcanic bowl supporting a multitude of wildlife in lush swamp vegetation.
    • One has a superb view from the rim of this crater.
    Mt Meru:
    • Tanzania’s second highest peak at 4,566m
    • Mt Meru Crater is one of the most spectacular landscapes in Tanzania and is thus the highpoint of a visit here.
    • Both Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru can be seen from the park. 


    Size & location

    • An area of 137 sq km, at 1500 metres above sea level upto 4500 metres at the summit of Mr. Meru.
    • Northeast of the country, east of the Ngorongoro Crater, near the town of Arusha
    • Not far from the border with Kenya.
    • This park lies between the peaks of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru.
    • 21 km from Arusha town.


    Climate / When to go

    • The climate is temperate throughout the year
    • Two wet seasons - November to December (short rains) and March to May
    • Driest months - August to October
    • Best time to visit is anytime between July and March
    • Best time to climb Mt. Meru are between June and February
